If you need someone to talk to

For anyone coming to terms with a bereavement, it can be important sometimes to have someone you can talk to, someone who will listen and give you time to talk about how you are feeling. Samaritans have been providing support by listening for over 50 years, and although the service is often associated with helping the suicidal, it is wider than that; Samaritans are there for anyone who is distressed and who needs someone with the time to just listen.

You can ring Samaritans any time of the night or day. Samaritans don't make judgements about you; you won't get offered advice, and everything is completely confidential. Samaritans is not a religious organisation, and is freely available for anyone. You can ring, or contact us by email; and even, during the daytime, visit the Samaritans centres locally in Bristol, Bath or Weston-Super-Mare.
